Mario Clash is a 3D platformer in which the player takes on the character of Mario and must navigate stages while hurling shells at foes. Because of the Virtual Boy’s red-and-black stereoscopic display, the game has a distinctive 3D perspective, and it was one of the few titles for the platform that used the technology meaningfully.

Wario Land, on the other hand, is a 2D platformer in which the player controls Wario as he navigates stages loaded with opponents and obstacles while collecting wealth.
