Endless Ocean is an underwater exploration through the pristine waters
of fictional Manoa Lai Island. From the moment players experience their
first dive, they’re introduced to a magnificent world of sun-pierced
water, vibrant color, and flourishing sea life. With no time limits,
point systems or possibility of failure, it’s a pick-up-and-play game
for the entire family to enjoy. Intuitive controls and the game’s
encouraging “explore at your own pace” approach create a momentary
retreat.
After a short tutorial and practice swim through the Lagoon, players
begin receiving exploration and collection assignments from The Marianas
Foundation. Divers interact with underwater creatures to unlock
encyclopedia-style descriptors – educating them on its species and
habits. The longer players navigate through the map, the more sea life
they’ll unlock. Over 230 sea creatures are available in a fully unlocked
game.
As players become more familiar with their surroundings, they gain the
ability to take pictures and salvage rare treasures from the ocean
floor. Experienced divers can also go night diving and even lead guided
Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection tours. Successful tours will unlock new
outfits and gear.
Underwater journeys are further complimented by the enchanting music of
international best-selling artist Hayley Westenra. Players can elect to
use the included music, or they can play their own music from an MP3.
Insert the MP3 player’s SD card in to the Wii slot for a custom diving
experience.
In Endless Ocean, the possibilities of underwater exploration are, well,
endless. Beginner and experienced snorkelers and scuba divers alike will
find a deep sea gaming environment unlike any other, while families just
looking for a fun yet relaxing experience with their Wiis now have the
smooth sounds and aquatic sights of mother nature to look forward to!
